Happenings and Happeneds

Meanwhile, in other news, a few things that have happened, that may happen and that are in the process of happening...

• I had a 101-worder (an off-by-one drabble?), "Fold and Throw and Know", published with 101 Words. This was written against two oulipoish constraints: a fixed word count and beginning every sentence (and the title) with the same letter.
• I attended and read at Let Me Tell You a Story, Jack last week. With the theme of lies, deceit and scandal, I picked "So You Think You Can Cook" to read. This is a great open mic event and one that, subject to calendrical alignment, I definitely want to attend again.
• I've had a short story, "Ragdolls", accepted for inclusion in Boo Books' We Can Improve You anthology. This will be released in the summer in time for Edge-Lit 4 in Derby, which I'm hoping to attend.
• I've had a story accepted for another run of BBC Radio Bristol's Speechbubble, but my schedule conspired to keep me away when it was happening, so this has been pushed to the next (or the next or...) recording event.
• Stroud Short Stories are compiling an anthology of stories that have been read at all their events to date, and will include "Schrödinger's Pizza".
• I was a winner in Writing Maps' January contest, which means I won some swag and will have my story, "Things in My Life that Are Blue", published in the next A3 Review.
